An application for modification to the Downtown Code was submitted to convert the current parking lot and 2-story structure into a new 16-story hotel tower. The modifications are to accommodate outdoor seating, a covered arrivals area, and site parking & access. Additionally, the smaller property across the access road includes back of house utility spaces. Levels 2 – 4 includes the Parking Garage which is concealed by gold-colored decorative metal panels.
Level 5 features the amenity level and is situated high enough to take advantage of really great views of Downtown Nashville. The image above features the amenity level at the corner of 9th Avenue North & Commerce Street.
Amenities include a rooftop pool and lawn, a bar/lounge and restaurant, as well as meeting rooms. The amenity level is almost entirely clad in an expansive wall of windows nearly 20 feet tall. The image above shows the preliminary plan for the amenity level.
Site improvements include the addition of tree wells, landscaped areas, retaining walls, sidewalk pavers, movable planers, and new concrete sidewalks.
