Ascend Real Estate Group is planning a new 16-story mixed-use development at the corner of 19th and Church Street in Midtown. Designed by Smith Gee Studio, the multi-parcel development extends nearly the entire block between 18th & 19th Avenues.

A request for special exception was filed to rise one additional level for a total of 16 floors. The development is still in the early stages, however, the preliminary design includes retail on the street level, 3 levels of dedicated parking, and 12 levels of multifamily. Details regarding the final unit mix and amenities will be released as the development progresses. Engineering for the project is provided by Kimley-Horn.

From Nashville Yards to The Reed District, recent developments have started to give a glimpse into the future of Church Street. More specifically, the future of Church Street in Midtown, as it evolves from an industrial & commercial corridor into a mixed-use district.
Projects fronting this stretch of Church Street touch a cross section of vertical markets; some of which include multifamily, hospitality, adaptive reuse, and healthcare. Additionally, there has been an increase of mixed-uses on adjacent streets. Projects that are either in the permit approval phases or under construction along the Midtown stretch of Church Street include:
- Cambria Hotel
- Hines – Coca-Cola Building Adaptive Reuse
- Greystar – 19th & Church Hotel & Residential Mixed-use
- Ascend Real Estate Group – 19th & Church Mixed-Use

The map below provides development context for Midtown as a whole. Given the number of projects, I will soon publish a Music Row Map for even more development adjacency.
