Work at the Finery is heating up in Wedgewood Houston. Located just minutes from downtown Nashville, the project will feature more than 700,000 square feet of mixed-use once complete. The entire project consists of a mass-timber office building as well as a residential mixed-use development. The project is bounded by Merritt Avenue, Gray Street, Hagan Street, & Martin Street.

Construction of the project was announced last year and the site has since started to take shape. The development will feature 383 unique residences with amenity, office, & retail uses. According the Hines, amenities will include restaurants, cafes, retail services, fitness options, and outdoor gathering spaces. Additionally, the mixed-use district will feature creative office spaces as well as a unique set of retail, entertainment, and hospitality uses. The development is divided into 3 primary uses which includes a ground floor plaza, the residences, and the parking Garage.
The Mixed-use plaza is a pedestrian friendly marketplace on the Ground floor. It includes a mix of flex-spaces, custom plaza kiosks, boutique retail spaces, the fitness center, and resident lobby. The Plaza also connects Gray Street to Merritt Avenue. Leasing for the Food & Beverage and retail options is being handled by OJAS Partners. The residential component includes two 5 story buildings over a concrete podium. The T-shaped ‘Building A’ fronts Gray Street and is more than 223,000 SF. The L-shaped ‘Building B’ fronts Merritt Avenue and is more than 183,000 SF.
The Parking Deck is 7 stories with a total of 641 Parking Spaces. The top of the parking deck will feature a pool deck amenity with outdoor seating. It will also feature a club room.
