For those looking for a one-of-a-kind after hours experience along the beaten path, Nightscape is ready to transport you there. Nightscape is Nashville’s first experiential entertainment venue, utilizing built-in 360° projection mapping, spatial audio, and multi-sensory exploration to connect guests to their environment. The new venue is located in the beloved former music venue 12th and Porter in the Nashville Gulch.

Mike Weinberg, the founder and creator of Nightscape, worked with Remick Architecture (Remick) to develop a design that creates an immersive experience for the user. The image below demonstrates the attention to detail that works to create the immersive experience.

Nightscape is divided into two rooms: the lounge and the main projection space. The lounge walls are framed by a custom cove lighting feature designed by Remick that has hue-changing capabilities to coordinate with the specific projection being shown during any given event. The next two galleries show how the projection mapping technology works to create juxtaposing experiences within the same space.
The lounge is meant to act as a cocktail reception area, a space for pre-show mingling or feature a fully pre-programmed show of its own. The main projection room is filled with state-of-the-art technology: 17 projectors, 23 speakers hidden in the walls and over 100-feet of pixel mapped cove lighting at the base of the walls to coordinate with the lighting detail in the lounge.

The design intent was fairly simple — Remick wanted the projection itself to remain the focus of Nightscape, while the design works to complement the futuristic experience through strong lighting concepts, intuitive movement from space to space, and clean and modern finishes.

Nightscape is a forerunner in its industry, offering a digitally advanced and multi-sensory space that seeks to redefine the intersections of entertainment, art, technology, and storytelling.
