Construction is now underway at the fast-casual chicken chain Pollo Campero’s, new location. Dowdle Construction Group, announced the news and is also the general contractor on the project. The new space is located at 1616 Gallatin Pike North in Madison.

“When we began plans for another Nashville store, we knew Dowdle would be up for the task, as they did a great job on our previous location,” said J.C. Toribio, a representative for Pollo Campero. “We are looking forward to opening this location in Madison and hopefully expanding even further in Nashville.”

This marks the chain’s second location in the Nashville area, images of the first location are below. The new restaurant will occupy a 4,300-square-foot building which previously housed an urgent care walk-in clinic. Collaborating with Dowdle on the project is architecture firm Remick Architecture along with S+H Engineering (now Benesch) for civil and Wilson & Girgenti for MEP. Although the construction is scheduled to finish in November the restaurant plans to go live in February 2023.
“Dowdle built Nashville’s first Pollo Campero in 2017, so we were excited that they chose us for this new location as well,” said Dowdle Project Manager Kyle Swarm. “It’s been great working with the Pollo Campero team again.”
Pollo Campero specializes in flavorful chicken and a wholesome menu focused on individual and family meals. It opened as a family-owned restaurant in Guatemala in 1971 and expanded into the U.S. in 2002.
